ABOUT US

Meadow Field Glamping is located at Home Farm just outside the village of Harborough Magna, near Rugby, in the county of Warwickshire.

We are third generation arable farmers, working 500 acres of land with Meadow Field, nestled at the heart of the farm.

What We Grow

We grow a variety of crops, such as wheat, oats, sugar beet, maize and energy beet. Our harvested crops either go for human consumption, such as in bread and sugar products (Silver Spoon), domestic animal feed or processed in biodigesters to generate electricity for the national grid. A local farmer also grows potatoes on our land for Walkers crisps. You will also find nectar rich field margins and wild areas which are there to give wildlife food and a home.

From early spring when potatoes are planted to the late summer months and throughout the autumn the farm comes alive with activity as harvest commences, quickly followed by field work and planting for the next season. There are plenty of opportunities to see farming life at its peak with a front row seat from our luxury safari tents.

Heritage Orchard

At the beginning of 2019 we planted a 72 tree heritage orchard, consisting of mainly pear, apple and plum with as many local varieties as we could source. As the orchard grows and establishes itself over the next few years it will

become a stunning addition to our glamping site that will produce beautiful blossoms in the spring and an abundance of fruit in late summer and autumn perfect for cider, preserves and baking.
